What we get asked before starting

What is the difference between ForecastSolve and DemandSolve?
How many people take part. ForecastSolve is an Excel add-in for one planner: local engine, model tournament, S&OP cycles, no implementation. DemandSolve is a multi-user solution for the team: roles, approvals, business rules and optional ERP integration. Same modeling approach, different scale.
How many items and how much history do I need?
From a few dozen to a few thousand SKUs. Ideally 24 months of monthly sales per item to capture seasonality; with less, simpler methods are used. A CSV extract from the ERP is enough to start.
Does it work with intermittent demand or items that barely sell?
Yes. Every series is classified before modeling and intermittent ones use methods designed for them (Croston, SBA). In distribution and spare-parts catalogs it is normal for a third of the items to be intermittent.
Do I need to integrate the ERP?
Not to start. ForecastSolve loads from CSV or from the sheet. DemandSolve can start with periodic extracts and add the integration once the process is stable.
Does my data leave the company?
With ForecastSolve, no: the engine runs on the planner's computer. With DemandSolve, data lives on a dedicated server that DataSolve provides and manages, with remote access per user and permissions. In consulting we work with extracts under a confidentiality agreement.
How do I know the forecast is better than what I have?
Because we measure it on your own past months before you trust it: we simulate what we would have forecast six months ago and compare it with what you sold, against your current method. If we do not beat it, we tell you.
How much does it cost?
It depends on scope. ForecastSolve, for one planner in Excel, costs from USD 400 per month. DemandSolve, for the planning team, from USD 3,500 per month. Consulting is quoted per project. In 15 minutes we give you a concrete figure for your catalog.
Do you work outside Panama?
Yes, across the Americas, in Spanish, English and Portuguese, by video call. We visit the operation when the project calls for it.
